The primary role of the Air Force is to provide aerial support to other military branches. This includes tasks like refueling other aircraft and airborne early warning. This differs from the Marines, whose primary mission involves flying fighter jets to achieve strategic objectives.
The Air Force is also responsible for preparing aircrews and airframes for each forces.
The Air Force base houses a collection of nearly every aircraft ever operated by the U.S.
There was also a vacant spot for a retired aircraft that hadn't been fully declassified. While the majority of the plane was still classified, the wheels and pilot ladder were surprisingly accessible to the public.
The collection does not include classified aircraft.
